Vishwanath Haveri and the Kannada Stage Kalaluha Built

Television gives Kannada audiences their favourite voices in weekly instalments. The live stage gives them the same voices at full strength, with nothing between artist and crowd. Vishwanath Haveri belongs to that first category of discovery: audiences came to know him through Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Kannada and then through Bigg Boss Kannada 8. Voices like his are precisely who Kalaluha's Kannada-first stages were built for.

From reality TV to real rooms

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Kannada is one of the most demanding proving grounds a Kannada singer can pass through. Week after week, contestants perform under judgment, in front of cameras and a statewide audience, with no safety net. Bigg Boss Kannada 8 tested a different muscle entirely: personality, endurance and the ability to stay genuine under constant observation. An artist who has been through both arrives with two assets most performers lack: a voice tested under pressure, and an audience that already feels they know him.

That second asset matters enormously in a live room. When the crowd has followed an artist through television, the first cheer comes before the first note.

The stage waiting for voices like his

Kalaluha's Kannada DJ Night property has a lineage worth knowing. The first Kannada DJ party was held in February 2022 with NKM, Namma Karnataka Memes, billed in association with Chethana production, as Explocity recorded. By September 2023, Insider.in listings read NKM & Kalaluha present Kannada DJ Night. Since then, eight premium Kannada DJ properties have been built, and the club property now runs at Fandom at Gilly's Redefined in Koramangala, with a 7 December edition featuring DJ Lethal A, DJ Nuthan and DJ Harry D Cruzz.

The idea behind the property is simple and, until recently, radical: Kannada deserves the club night. Not as a novelty slot inside someone else's party, but as the main event, week after week, with production values to match.

Why this pairing makes sense

Put those two stories together and the logic writes itself. On one side, artists like Vishwanath Haveri, carrying voices proven on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Kannada and profiles built through Bigg Boss Kannada 8. On the other, a stage architecture Kalaluha has spent years refining, where Kannada music is the headline and the crowd arrives specifically for it.

This is what Kalaluha means by its mission of bringing India's art forms, music and stories onto bigger stages. Sometimes the bigger stage is an arena. Sometimes it is a club in Koramangala where a statewide TV voice meets a room that sings along in its own language.

The Kannada DJ Night story, from that first 2022 party to eight premium properties, is told on the Kannada DJ Night page. For the wider Kannada-first slate, see Hip Hop Kannadigaru at The Leela Palace, and browse the gallery for how these nights actually look.
