Hip-Hop Kannadigaru

Hip Hop Kannadigaru broke new ground by bringing Kannada rap, DJ culture and live performance to The Leela Palace, one of Bengaluru’s most prestigious luxury venues. Built around the theme Retro to Metro, the night blended timeless Kannada classics with contemporary rap, urban beats and live DJ sets: a celebration of the state’s cultural identity through modern artistic expression.

Produced by Kalaluha from concept to completion, the bill brought together some of Karnataka’s most recognised hip-hop artists: Rahul Dit-O, MC Bijju, Martin Yo, Gubbi and DJ Sid, alongside DJ Lethal. Concert-grade sound, dynamic lighting, high-definition LED visuals and synchronised stage programming turned the palace into an immersive concert destination, with holographic visual concepts inspired by legendary Kannada cinema adding a layer the crowd had never seen before. The production balanced the energy of a large-scale hip-hop show with the hospitality standards of The Leela Palace at every touchpoint, from arrival to premium seating and guest flow.

The event carried a larger purpose. At a time when regional music was seeking greater representation in premium live entertainment spaces, Hip Hop Kannadigaru proved that Kannada music could command the same scale, quality and audience enthusiasm as any international act. It stands among Kalaluha’s defining projects: a production that honoured regional identity while raising the standard for live events in India.
