Dr. Chethana R S: The Founder Who Built Kalaluha From an Empty Stage

Most founder stories in live events begin with a love of music. Dr. Chethana R S got there by a longer road: through medicine, through therapy rooms, through dance floors and television studios. When she founded Kalaluha in 2023 with her sibling and business partner Vishal R S, she was not stepping into an unfamiliar industry. She was consolidating everything she had already lived.
A resume that refuses one label
Start with the doctor. Dr. Chethana is an Ayurvedic physician with a BAMS from Sri Sri College, and an intuitive therapist who has worked with more than 1,000 clients using NLP, CBT and aromatherapy. She has trained in General Psychiatric Management at Harvard Medical School, is a Certified Life Coach through the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology in the UK, and is pursuing an M.Sc. in Psychology at Jain University.
Then the artist. She has worked across 57+ art techniques, performed 350+ dance shows spanning nine forms, and delivered 99 intuition and mentalism performances. Add 53+ live TV health programs in four languages, and you begin to see someone equally at home on a stage and behind one.
The producer emerges
The production record is where all of it converges. In two and a half years, Dr. Chethana has produced 20 large-scale concerts. She has built eight premium Kannada DJ properties and owns three Kannada celebrity sports reality properties, including the Gandhadha Gudi Warriors team at Appu Cup, the celebrity cricket property played in memory of Puneeth Rajkumar.
Under her leadership, Kalaluha has staged close to thirty productions since 2023, sold more than 3.5 lakh tickets, and generated over Rs 20 crore in combined ticketing and brand-partnership value. The names on those stages tell their own story: Shreya Ghoshal on a sold-out night, Padma Shri Kailash Kher at Lakeside at Orion Mall, Sid Sriram before thousands of devotees at KTPO Whitefield. When Explocity covered the Shreya Ghoshal show, it described Kalaluha, led by Dr. Chethana R S and Vishal R S, as a company known for "creativity and dedication to delivering exceptional musical experiences."
Why the name matters
Kalaluha is not an accidental word. Kala means art. Luha means blazing fire. The company's mission is to bring India's art forms, music and stories onto bigger stages, and its slogan is a producer's creed: every unforgettable night begins with an empty stage. That sentence carries the founder's fingerprint. A physician learns to see what is not yet visible in a patient. A producer learns to see a full arena in an empty ground.
Her ventures reflect the same breadth. Alongside Kalaluha sit Praana & You, her healthcare venture, and Dr. Chethana Arts, her artistic platform. Three companies, one person, no contradiction: each one treats care, craft and audience as the same discipline.
If you want to understand why Kalaluha's shows feel the way they do, the founder is the answer. The therapist in her thinks about how thirty thousand people feel in a queue. The dancer in her knows what a performer needs before walking into the light. The producer in her makes sure both are handled before doors open.
