Anushree at Crazy Brahma: How an Anchor Holds a Kalaluha Night

Singers get the applause. Anchors get the responsibility. When Crazy Brahma took over JK Grand Arena Kengeri on 30 May 2026, the job of holding a night of five major voices, two living legends in the audience's hearts, and a theme line promising Where Music Meets Magic fell to one person: Anushree, the leading Kannada television anchor known for Comedy Khiladigalu, SIIMA and CCL.

Why Anushree, specifically

Anchoring is the most underestimated craft in live events. An anchor sets the emotional temperature of the room before a single note is sung, bridges the gaps where a lesser show sags, and reads a crowd of thousands in real time. Anushree's credentials are exactly the ones the job demands. Comedy Khiladigalu means she can carry humour without losing control of a room. SIIMA means she has handled award-scale glamour with film industry royalty watching. CCL means she can hold energy in a stadium-sized sporting atmosphere.

Crazy Brahma needed all three registers in one evening: warmth for a tribute, gravitas for two legends, and stamina for a long night of music.

The night she carried

Crazy Brahma honoured 65 years of Crazy Star V. Ravichandran, the actor, director and producer whose journey runs from Premaloka in 1987 through films like Ramachari and Ranadheera, and Naada Brahma Hamsalekha, the composer of 500 plus albums with a National Film Award and six Filmfare Best Music Director honours. It also marked 51 years of Eshwari Combines and four plus decades of their collaboration.

Between Anushree's links, the music came from Vijay Yesudas, Rajesh Krishnan, Mano, Anuradha Bhat and Madhu Balakrishnan. The night was presented by Prastut Innovation Creation & Solutions in association with Kalaluha, and drew coverage from Vishwavani, Udayavani, Kannada Prabha, Asianet, TV9 and Eesanje.

The anchor as part of show direction

From a producer's chair, the anchor is not decoration between songs. The anchor is a load-bearing element of show direction. At Crazy Brahma, the running order had to move five singers through a large catalogue while keeping the emotional focus on the two men being honoured. Every transition Anushree handled was a moment the production had planned for: what comes next, how long the changeover takes, what the audience should be feeling when the lights come back up.
