Vaibhav B. Bharadwaj: From Cyber Security to Creative Direction

Vaibhav B. Bharadwaj: From Cyber Security to Creative Direction

On paper, the line does not make sense. A B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a Cyber Security specialisation from Presidency University Bengaluru is supposed to lead to security operations centres and audit reports, not to concert campaigns and show branding. Yet that is the degree behind Vaibhav B. Bharadwaj, Creative Director at Kalaluha and founder and CEO of The House of Edits. Walk the line more slowly and it starts to look less like a detour and more like an advantage.

What a security education actually teaches

Cyber security is a discipline of anticipation. You study systems by asking where they break, what an attacker sees that a builder does not, and what happens under load. Strip away the technical specifics and what remains is a habit of mind: think in systems, assume nothing, test everything, and always look at your own work from the outside.

Creative direction rewards exactly that habit. An event campaign is a system with many moving parts, and the audience is the outsider whose view is the only one that counts. A director who can hold the whole structure in his head, and who instinctively looks for the weak point before anyone else finds it, brings something a purely artistic training does not.

Building The House of Edits

Before and alongside Kalaluha, Vaibhav built The House of Edits, a multidisciplinary creative agency. Its span is wide by design: digital marketing, branding, video production, social media management, design, web development and corporate communications, delivered for clients across businesses, education, real estate, entertainment and public personalities.

Running an agency with that spread is its own education. Every client sector has different stakes and a different definition of success, and the founder is the person who has to translate between all of them. By the time Kalaluha needed a Creative Director, Vaibhav had already spent years doing the hardest part of the job: making distinct brands sound like themselves, at speed, across formats.

The role at Kalaluha

At Kalaluha, Vaibhav's remit covers creative direction, visual branding, event marketing, audience engagement, sponsorship communication and digital campaigns. It is the connective tissue of the company: the layer that takes a production the team is building and gives it a public face, a campaign arc and a language sponsors can buy into.

The engineer's training shows up here in quiet ways. Campaigns are sequenced rather than scattered. Branding decisions are made once and enforced everywhere. Sponsorship communication is treated as a structured exchange of value, not a favour. None of that is glamorous, and all of it is why the glamorous parts work.

The lesson in his path is worth stating plainly for anyone standing at a similar fork: a technical degree is not a cage. It is a way of thinking, and ways of thinking travel. Kalaluha's shows, from the All Hearts Tour with Shreya Ghoshal to the club nights of the Kannada DJ property, each carried a public identity that someone had to design, defend and deliver. Meet the person who does that on the Vaibhav B. Bharadwaj team page, and see the wider crew behind Kalaluha's productions across the rest of the site.
