Technology and Design Trends Shaping Event Production: Vaibhav B Bharadwaj's View

Vaibhav B Bharadwaj plans and executes Kalaluha's large-scale entertainment and cultural events. He decides how a night should look and feel, then makes sure every production choice serves that vision. He is also the founder and CEO of The House of Edits, a multidisciplinary creative agency working across branding, video production, design and web development. That double life keeps him close to two things at once: the craft of live production and the tools reshaping it. Here is what he is watching.
The show now happens twice
Every event happens twice. Once in the room, and once on the phones of the people in it. That changes design. A stage that reads well from the last row must also read well in a vertical frame shot from the pit. Vaibhav treats the phone camera as a second audience. Lighting looks different through a lens. Colour that feels rich in the room can blow out on video. So the look of a night gets judged on both views before it is locked.
This is not vanity. It is distribution. The clips an audience posts become the campaign for the next show. Design for them, and the marketing budget works harder.
The end of the static backdrop
The backdrop is no longer a printed banner. LED surfaces, projection and programmable lighting have turned the stage into a live design canvas. For a creative director, that is freedom and risk in equal measure. Freedom, because the visual identity of a show can move and change scene by scene. Risk, because motion without intent is noise. Vaibhav's rule is simple. The screen serves the artist, never the other way around. Content on stage exists to sharpen a moment, not to compete with it.
Digital campaigns are part of the production
At Kalaluha, Vaibhav's remit covers creative direction, visual branding, event marketing, audience engagement, sponsorship communication and digital campaigns. He treats those as one system, not separate jobs. The trend he cares about most is the collapse of the line between an event and its marketing. The announcement film, the ticket page, the on-ground signage and the after-movie should feel like one continuous piece of design. When they do, the show starts before the doors open and keeps working after the lights go down.
His agency background helps. The House of Edits builds digital marketing, social media strategy and web work for businesses and public personalities. The same discipline transfers to live entertainment. Know the audience. Hold their attention. Earn their trust.
What does not change
Tools change fast. The standard does not. Vaibhav holds every campaign and show to three tests: does it inspire trust, does it hold attention, does it create lasting value. Technology that helps a night pass those tests earns its place. Technology that only looks impressive in a pitch deck does not.
His signature line at Kalaluha puts it plainly: "Where the idea meets the cable, he makes it hold." The trend list will look different next year. The job stays the same.
