Digital Campaigns That Fill Venues: How Kalaluha Promotes Its Nights

Digital Campaigns That Fill Venues: How Kalaluha Promotes Its Nights

A digital campaign for a live show has one deadline and no extensions. The night arrives whether the campaign worked or not. At Kalaluha, digital campaigns sit inside Creative Director Vaibhav B Bharadwaj's portfolio and run with the same discipline as the production itself.

The campaign is part of the production

Kalaluha does not treat promotion as a separate trade practiced by a separate team with a separate aesthetic. Vaibhav decides how a night should look and feel, and the campaign inherits that decision. The feed sells the same night the stage will deliver. It sounds obvious. It is rare.

The range of the slate keeps the work honest. A devotional evening like Sid Sriram on Krishna Janmashtami at KTPO in 2025 reaches its audience differently than Melody Milap with Abhijeet Bhattacharya in the same year, and both differ from a hip-hop night or a celebrity cricket property. Same tools, different signals. A campaign that treats every show the same is a campaign that understands none of them.

The working discipline

  • One story per show, and every post, ad and reel serves it
  • Match the channel to the audience, not to habit
  • Sequence beats noise: announce, build, convert, in that order
  • Let the night produce the content, because full rooms and real moments are the strongest creative a campaign will ever get

The last rule is why production quality and campaign performance are the same investment. A show built to look extraordinary generates its own advertising, and each night becomes the opening argument for the one after it.

Where the fluency comes from

Vaibhav is a digital strategist by trade and the founder and CEO of The House of Edits, a multidisciplinary creative agency whose practice areas include digital marketing, social media strategy, branding and video production. Kalaluha's campaigns draw on that full stack: strategy, design, film and copy from one accountable desk rather than four vendors negotiating an aesthetic.

The results sit in the company totals. Close to thirty productions since the 2023 founding. More than 3.5 lakh tickets sold. Over Rs 20 crore in combined ticketing and brand-partnership value. Tickets do not move at that scale on posters and hope.

The standard

Vaibhav's standard for every campaign is the same as his standard for every show: inspire trust, hold attention, create lasting value. Trust means never selling a night the production cannot deliver. Attention means earning the pause in a feed built to prevent it. Lasting value means the campaign ends but the audience relationship does not. His belief runs underneath all of it: every event should leave something behind, and a good campaign leaves behind the audience for the next one. More from the team on the journal.
