What Shreya Ghoshal's All Hearts Tour Meant for Bengaluru

Concerts end. Their meanings do not. When Shreya Ghoshal's All Hearts Tour played a sold out night at New Horizon College of Engineering on 11 May 2024, presented by Superhits 93.5 RED FM and Kalaluha under RED LIVE in Concert, something larger than a show happened. A city got to stand in the same ground as a voice it had carried around for decades, and a young Bengaluru production company got to prove what Indian audiences will show up for.

A voice the whole country shares

Shreya Ghoshal occupies a rare position in Indian culture. Five National Film Awards. The first Indian singer honoured with a statue at Madame Tussauds. But statistics undersell it. Her songs travel across languages and generations in a way very few artists manage, which means a live show of hers is one of the few places where an entire Indian city's musical memory converges. Grandparents, parents and teenagers came to the same ground carrying different songs of hers, and all of them left satisfied. Playback singing is often treated as invisible labour behind film stars. A night like this puts the singer at the centre, where the crowd has always known she belonged.

What sold out really signals

A sold out ticket run is usually read as a commercial fact. Culturally, it is evidence. It says Bengaluru's appetite for large-scale live music is real and deep, and that audiences here will fill a ground for artistry, not just novelty. For everyone who works in this city's live scene, every full house raises the ceiling for the next one. Kalaluha has since gone on to produce close to thirty shows with more than 3.5 lakh tickets sold across them, and nights like this one built the confidence, ours and the market's, that made that scale possible.

A milestone in a mission

Kalaluha was founded in 2023 by Dr. Chethana R S with her sibling and business partner Vishal R S, with a name that fuses Kala, art, and Luha, blazing fire, and a mission to bring India's art forms, music and stories onto bigger stages. The All Hearts Tour, arriving within our first year, was that mission passing its examination in public. Explocity called Kalaluha "renowned for its creativity and dedication to delivering exceptional musical experiences," and that external recognition mattered to a company still introducing itself.

It also set a template we have followed since: respect the artist completely, design for the audience relentlessly, and treat partnerships, like the one with RED FM, as shared authorship of a night rather than logos on a poster.

The longer echo

Years later, what remains of 11 May 2024 is not the infrastructure, which came down within days. It is the memory held by thousands of people of singing along with a voice they had only ever heard through speakers. Live production is ultimately a memory business. That is the trade Kalaluha is in, and this night remains one of our clearest statements of it.
