Vishal R S: The IIT Roorkee Alumnus Running Strategy, Finance and Operations at Kalaluha

Vishal R S is the Co-Founder and Head of Strategy at Kalaluha, the Bengaluru live-event and concert production company founded in 2023. He leads strategy, finance and operations. His sibling, Dr. Chethana R S, founded the company with him and holds its artistic and cultural centre as a practicing Ayurvedic physician, artist and producer. He holds the numbers, the systems and the risk. The division is clean, and it works.
The background
The resume reads finance first. Vishal is an IIT Roorkee alumnus. He started his professional life before turning eighteen. Today he runs a money-management platform with over Rs 30 crore under management, and he advises companies as a virtual CFO. That is the discipline he carries into live events: cash flow, contracts, downside planning, decisions made on evidence rather than mood.
There is a second column on the resume. He holds a Trinity College London Grade 8 in music theory. The strategy head of a concert company can read a score. That matters more than it sounds. The person negotiating the budget understands what happens on stage, not just what it costs.
The record
Since Kalaluha's founding in 2023, the company has delivered close to thirty productions, sold more than 3.5 lakh tickets and generated over Rs 20 crore in combined ticketing and brand-partnership value.
The slate shows the range. The Shreya Ghoshal All Hearts Tour, staged with Superhits 93.5 RED FM under RED LIVE in May 2024, sold out. Kailash Kher Live played Orion Mall in the company's first year. Sid Sriram performed at KTPO for Krishna Janmashtami in 2025. Alongside the artist shows sit the company's own properties: Appu Cup, Indian Bowling League, Television Cricket League and Kannada DJ Night, the club property where the company began.
The method
Vishal asks three questions of every project. Can this be sharper? Can this mean more? Can this outlive a single night? The first is about execution. The second is about cultural weight. The third is about building properties instead of one-off events.
That third question now drives the roadmap. Kalaluha plans its original IPs as long-running cultural properties. The first is Music from the Valley, a ten-city premium live experience rooted in Kashmir, featuring santoor maestro Pandit Rahul Sharma.
The line that sums him up
Inside Kalaluha, the description of Vishal runs one sentence: "He reads the numbers like a script, and directs the risk." It is accurate. The spreadsheet and the stage are the same document to him, read two ways. One tells him what a night will cost. The other tells him what the night could be worth, both at the gate and long after the gate closes.
The company's stated philosophy is that every unforgettable night begins with an empty stage. Vishal's job is to make sure the empty stage is affordable, the risk is priced, and the night that follows is worth building again. On the evidence of three years, close to thirty productions and more than 3.5 lakh tickets sold, the method holds.
