Vishal R S: The Co-Founder Running Strategy, Finance and Operations

Every production company has a person the audience never cheers for, and cannot do without. At Kalaluha, that person is Vishal R S: co-founder and Head of Strategy, Finance and Operations. If Dr. Chethana R S is the fire in the company's name, Vishal is the structure that lets it burn safely at scale.

The early start

Vishal's professional life began before he turned eighteen. That is not a garnish on his biography; it explains his range. By the time most people are choosing a career, he was already living one. He went on to IIT Roorkee, and today he runs a money-management platform with over Rs 30 crore under management while advising companies as a virtual CFO. When he co-founded Kalaluha with his sibling Dr. Chethana in 2023, he brought a financial operator's discipline into an industry that often runs on adrenaline and hope.

The musician inside the strategist

Here is the detail that makes Vishal unusual among finance-minded co-founders: he holds a Trinity College London Grade 8 in music theory. Grade 8 is the top of that examination ladder, and it means the man building Kalaluha's budgets can also read the architecture of the music on its stages. He is not pricing an abstract product. He understands, technically, what a Shreya Ghoshal or a santoor recital actually is.

That dual literacy shapes his method, which he has distilled into three questions asked of every show: Can this be sharper? Can this mean more? Can this outlive a single night? The first is a craftsman's question, the second an artist's, the third a strategist's. Together they explain why Kalaluha builds properties rather than only staging events.

What the operations seat covers

Strategy, finance and operations at a live events company is an enormous brief. It spans the commercial engine, from ticketing and promotion to sponsorship and brand-partnership packaging, and the physical one, from power, crew and site logistics to safety, permissions and clearances. Since 2023, the machine Vishal helps run has delivered close to thirty productions, more than 3.5 lakh tickets sold, and over Rs 20 crore in combined ticketing and brand-partnership value.

His third question, about outliving a single night, is already visible in the slate. Vishal plans Kalaluha's original IPs, including Music from the Valley: a Kashmir-rooted, ten-city premium live experience with santoor maestro Pandit Rahul Sharma. An IP is the ultimate answer to that question, because it turns one night's work into a property that can tour, return and grow.

The live events industry is full of companies that produce one spectacular show and vanish, undone not by creativity but by operations. Kalaluha's steady run since 2023, across venues as different as NICE Grounds, KTPO Whitefield and The Leela Palace Bengaluru, is the quiet evidence of what Vishal's seat contributes. The audience remembers the artist. The industry remembers who delivered the show.
