Producing Shreya Ghoshal's All Hearts Tour: Kalaluha's Design Notes

When the artist is Shreya Ghoshal, the production brief writes itself in one line: do not get in the way of the voice. Everything Kalaluha designed for the All Hearts Tour show on 11 May 2024 at New Horizon College of Engineering, presented with Superhits 93.5 RED FM under RED LIVE in Concert, flowed from that single discipline.
Designing around a voice
A five-time National Film Award winner does not need pyrotechnics to hold a ground. What she needs is a stage that frames her, sound that carries every consonant to the last row, and light that follows the emotional temperature of the setlist rather than fighting it. That is a harder brief than spectacle. Spectacle forgives errors. A quiet ballad in front of a sold out crowd forgives nothing.
So the creative conversation started with the songs. Her catalogue moves between languages and between moods, from film blockbusters to melodies that ask for near silence from thousands of people. The show direction had to give each of those registers its own visual language while keeping the evening feeling like one continuous piece, not a playlist with lights attached.
Stage, sound and light as one system
Our Live Concert Experiences practice treats these as a single design problem, not three vendors working in parallel. For a show of this scale, the core disciplines were:
- Stage and set: a frame proportioned to an open college ground, engineered so sightlines worked from the front rows to the far edge of a sold out crowd.
- Sound: coverage tuned for vocal clarity first, because an audience that came for this voice notices every smeared lyric.
- Light: cue-by-cue programming mapped to the setlist, so transitions between songs read as chapters rather than resets.
- Visuals: screen content that supported the person at centre stage instead of competing with her.
Each discipline had one shared reference point: how the show would feel from inside the crowd, not from the console.
The radio partnership shaped the design too
Working under the RED LIVE in Concert banner with RED FM meant the show carried a broadcast partner's identity alongside the artist's. Balancing partner presence with artistic focus is its own craft. Branding has to be visible enough to honour the partnership and quiet enough that the night still belongs to the singer. We build that balance into the stage design from the first drawing, not as stickers applied at the end.
That same thinking runs through our sponsorship and promotion work generally: a partner's value on show night comes from being part of a great experience, not from interrupting one.
What we took from it
The All Hearts Tour taught us, early in Kalaluha's life, that restraint is a production value. The most sophisticated thing on that stage was the decision about everything we left off it. The audience did not go home talking about our rig. They went home talking about her. That is the correct outcome, and it only happens when the production design is confident enough to disappear.
You can see the show itself on the All Hearts Tour event page, and the full scope of what our production teams handle sits under our services. Creative direction on nights like this runs through Vaibhav B. Bharadwaj, and the visual standard for everything from posters to LED frames is held by Megharaj S N.
