How Event Sponsorship Packaging Works: A Producer's Guide

How Event Sponsorship Packaging Works: A Producer's Guide

A sponsorship deck is not a menu of logo sizes. It is a promise about attention: who will be in the room, what they will feel, and where a brand can sit inside that feeling without breaking it. At Kalaluha we have closed brand partnerships across close to thirty productions since 2023, and the packages that sell are the ones built around the show, not bolted onto it.

Start with the property, not the pitch

Before any brand conversation, we define what the event actually is. A devotional gathering, a film-music tribute and a club night attract completely different audiences, and a sponsor is buying that audience. When Jana Small Finance Bank came on as title sponsor for our Sri Krishna Janmashtami productions with ISKCON at KTPO Whitefield, the fit worked because the event's values, faith, family and community, matched the audience the bank wanted to stand beside. That alignment is the product. Everything else in the package is delivery.

The layers of a package

Most of our decks are structured in tiers, and each tier answers one question: how close does the brand get to the emotional core of the night?

  • Title or presenting rights: the brand becomes part of the event's name and every piece of communication. Shreya Ghoshal's All Hearts Tour in Bengaluru was presented by Superhits 93.5 RED FM and Kalaluha under RED LIVE in Concert, and that co-branding ran through every poster and announcement.
  • Category partnerships: radio, banking, beverage and similar slots, each exclusive within its category. RED FM was radio partner for Padma Shri Kailash Kher's show at Lakeside at Orion Mall, which meant on-air promotion the event could never have bought as plain media.
  • Association credits: Crazy Brahma, our tribute to V. Ravichandran and Hamsalekha, is presented by Prastut Innovation Creation and Solutions in association with Kalaluha. An association credit lets a partner share the stage without carrying the whole property.
  • On-ground presence: activation zones, LED mentions, anchor call-outs and hospitality. This is where our Luxury Brand Experiences service overlaps with sponsorship delivery.

What sponsors actually check

Brands rarely ask about stage size. They ask three things: proof of delivery, audience scale and clean execution. Proof means past shows they can verify, which is why a public work archive matters more than any claim in a deck. Scale means honest numbers: Kalaluha has sold more than 3.5 lakh tickets since 2023, and combined ticketing and brand-partnership value has crossed Rs 20 crore. Clean execution means the sponsor's team walks in on show day and finds their branding exactly where the deck said it would be. One missed LED slot damages the next three deals, so we treat the fulfilment sheet as seriously as the run sheet.

Match the moment to the brand

The subtle craft is placing a brand where the audience is grateful rather than interrupted. A meet and greet programme, like the one at Abhijeet Bhattacharya's Melody Milap, is a natural sponsor moment because it adds value for fans. A logo flashed during a devotional arati is not. Our founder Dr. Chethana R S pushes every partnership through one filter: does this make the night better or just louder? Sponsors who stay with us across editions are the ones who accepted that filter early.

Sponsorship packaging is finally a producer's discipline. It rewards teams who know their audience honestly and deliver what they wrote down. If you are building a property and want to see how packages behave across genres, browse our productions on the work wall, read what publications have said on our press page, or write to us through kalaluha.com. The best sponsorship conversations begin with a show worth sponsoring.
