Vishal R S started his professional life before turning eighteen. Most careers begin with a degree, a desk and a decade of supervised mistakes. His began before adulthood formally did. Today he is Co-Founder and Head of Strategy at Kalaluha, the Bengaluru live-event and concert production company, and the early start still shows in how he works. Money becomes real early

Start working before eighteen and money stops being an abstraction. It is hours, effort and consequences, learned at an age when most people are still asking for pocket money. That understanding shows in what he went on to build: a money-management platform with over Rs 30 crore under management, and a practice advising companies as a virtual CFO. Rooms full of older people

An early start means years of being the youngest person in every room. There is no seniority to lean on and no title to hide behind. The only available currency is preparedness: do the work, know the numbers, be right. He is also an IIT Roorkee alumnus, but rooms are a different school from institutes, and being the youngest in them is its own curriculum.

The long view arrives early

Compounding is a lesson best learned young, because the young have the most time for it to work. A Trinity College London Grade 8 in music theory does not appear overnight. It is stacked, year over year, the way capital compounds.

Kalaluha itself had an early, unglamorous beginning. Kannada DJ Night, the club property where the company began, staged its first edition in February 2022 with NKM. From there, with Dr. Chethana R S as Founder, the company grew into close to thirty productions since 2023, more than 3.5 lakh tickets sold and over Rs 20 crore in combined ticketing and brand-partnership value.

Start small. Start early. Treat the work as real from the first day, and let the results compound. That is the pattern of a professional life that began before eighteen, and it is now the operating pattern of a company.
