Akcent Live at RCB Bar & Cafe: When Kalaluha Went International

Some songs travel further than their language. Akcent proved that long before they ever landed in Bengaluru: a Romanian pop band whose hooks found their way onto Indian playlists, college fests and late-night drives without needing a word of translation. So when Kalaluha brought Akcent, fronted by Adrian Sina, to RCB Bar & Cafe, the room was full of people who had been singing along to this band for years and were finally in the same room as it.

RCB Bar & Cafe is an intimate venue by international-act standards, and that was the entire appeal. This was not a festival field where the band is a distant figure on a screen. It was close-range pop: Adrian Sina working a room where the back row could see his expressions, the hooks everyone came for delivered at arm's length. Venues like this compress the distance between artist and audience until the show stops being something you watch and becomes something you are inside.

For a Bengaluru crowd, there was a particular pleasure in the setting itself. RCB Bar & Cafe carries its own identity in this city, and putting a European pop act on its stage made the night feel like Bengaluru hosting the world on its own terms, in its own room.

Every layer of the show, from the artist's technical requirements to the run of the night itself, was carried by Kalaluha as a single accountable producer. That matters because international acts calibrate their expectations globally. The standard they expect in Bengaluru is the standard they get in any city on their routing. Delivering Akcent at RCB Bar & Cafe was a demonstration, to the artist side as much as the audience, that a Bengaluru production company founded in 2023 could hold that bar without an international promoter in the middle.

Kalaluha's mission is to bring India's art forms, music and stories onto bigger stages, and part of earning those bigger stages is proving fluency in every format a stage can take, including the international one.
